Since 1990, DMC Insurance Administrators has dedicated more than 25 years to managing health and welfare benefits for multiemployer trust funds, with a special focus on Taft-Hartley.

Expansive coverage

Today, DMC serves as third party administrator for a wide range of trust funds, managing over 100 benefit plans for nearly 400 employers, and providing administrative services to some 60,000 plan participants. We receive and process upwards of $300 million in annual employer contributions.

Dan Costa

Founder, CEO

Dan founded DMC Insurance Administrators in 1990. He has more than 30 years of insight and expertise in multiemployer trust fund administration, including assisting in plan design, asset management, and federal and state compliance and cost containment program design. Dan holds a California Insurance License and is a member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), and the Southern California Association of Benefit Plan Administrators (SCABPA).

David Gordillo

Co-Founder, President

David manages new business development and plan design solutions. He has extensive employee benefit experience in both small and large group insurance, as well as specialized expertise in managing multiemployer trust funds. His more than 40 years of multiple industry experience are a vital asset to our clients. David holds a California Insurance License and is a member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), and the Southern California Association of Benefit Plan Administrators (SCABPA).

Mario Guerrero

Vice President

Mario manages the multiemployer trust fund administration, which includes implementing directives emanating from the board of trustees of various labor funds and other benefit programs. He is bilingual and believes in building strong relationships with clients and always being responsive to their needs. Mario holds a California Insurance License and is a member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), and the Southern California Association of Benefit Plan Administrators (SCABPA).

Emilia Richmond

CFO

Emilia directs and manages corporate accounting and operations, including information technology and human resources. Her multiemployer trust fund responsibilities include overseeing accounting and customer service teams, internal controls, and outside audits. Emilia holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. She is a member of International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and the California Chamber of Commerce.
